Kintsugi – A Multimedia Dance Performance

The VanDenCross Dance Company and Fairfax Community Theater Company present “Kintsugi: a Multimedia Art Performance”. Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with gold, silver, or other precious metals. Not only does this emphasize the cracks in the pottery, but it actually makes the pottery stronger.

Every single person is like a piece of pottery and the trauma we experience in our lives symbolize the cracks in our pottery. Overcoming the hardships we’ve suffered and the scars that remain beautifies and strengthens the soul. Embark on a journey of perseverance shown through the artistry of dance and voice.
